Vaisahki 2007
The weather was damp, the wind was cold, but this couldn't stop thousands from attending Vaisakhi celebrations held in Otahuhu and Takanini, Auckland, New Zealand.  The procession began from the Otahuhu Gurdwara and proceeded to Takaknini Gurdwara via Great South Road, the main road traveling through South Auckland.  Free drinks, food and sweets were given out to people passing by.  Saffron was the color of the day with lags being decorated of cars and people dressed in the color.  Three lorry trucks formed the core of the procession which was trailed by cars full of people.  Though the weather was damp it didn't damped people spirits or prevent them from completing the trip.  The day was a successful one which I'm sure many enjoyed.  Below are pictures of the procession and Gatka at the Takanini Gurdwara.

Happy Vaisakhi to all people and Sangats around the world.
